IJ Research specializes the following multiplet technologies for very diversified applications and some of the past experience is listed below in order to help customers to understand our capabilities in terms of your applications.
Medical
IJ Research uses high volume of ceramics for medical hermetic seals. Typical time required for development prior to the
volume production is less than one year to approximately three years.
As our name implies, we will take care of the development of new products. We use approximately one million ceramics for various applications and they are sapphire, alumina, ruby, zirconia, spinel, translucent alumina and/or alumina-zirconia with biocompatible
metals and/or alloys. We believe that IJ Research is the largest brazing company with sapphire and ruby in the US.
Electrical feed through is one of the volume production specialties. Optical sapphire window or lens seal is another high volume
product. Production capacity includes vacuum deposition, laser welding and Au brazing.
Others are biocompatible coating for passivation, dielectric and/or conductive, optical coating, power metallurgy and sintering
of biomedical compatible metals for implants.
Our innovatively designed processes ensure the Ti/Au seal is optimized for high production yield. IJ Research's high point
is our high level of technical advantage among few others. Although the Au is not the best braze material for Ti and its alloys,
we utilize its physical and thermal properties to our specifically designed processing procedures. This ensures metallurgical
functionality on precious metals and alloys along with other biocompatible metals and ceramics for the specific levels of hermeticities.
Defense
Under the in-house ITAR control of confidential information, IJ Research takes care of the US defense related
projects by qualified employees. Our current customers are DoD agencies and their prime contractors.
